Two coopered wooden keg-form field canteens, one retaining an old red painted surface, the other carved with the initials ‘IP.’ Both of stave construction with fitted ends.

Provenance: Property from a Essex, Connecticut estate
Condition: Surface wear, abrasions, and age cracks; scattered rim losses; wear consistent with age and use.
