English George I black and gilt-japanned cabinet on stand, early 18th century, decorated throughout with chinoiserie landscapes, figures, birds, and pavilions, two doors open to reveal an arrangement of eight drawers with similar decoration, retaining original brass fittings and rich patina, raised on an old but later base with shaped apron and square legs
