The composition depicts a gently winding country road leading toward a farmhouse amid rolling fields and wooded areas. Cool passages of blue and soft violet tones animate the shadows of the road and distant hills, contrasting with warmer greens and ochres in the surrounding landscape and lending depth and atmosphere to the scene.
