Group of original pen and ink editorial cartoons on illustration board, circa 1968–1977, depicting political, social, and international affairs, to include examples addressing the Vietnam War, Cold War diplomacy, foreign policy, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, New York State politics, Supreme Court decisions, crime and law enforcement, taxation, fiscal policy, government spending, campaign politics, immigration, drug legislation, education, veterans’ benefits, environmental issues, labor relations, welfare policy, and consumer protection. Each signed within the image with pencil titles, publication dates, editorial notations, and printer’s notes to the margins. Largest sheet 16″ x 25″.
All lots are sold “AS IS.” Condition reports are available by request and answered in the order received starting the week of the sale. Our in-house buyer’s premium (for absentee and phone bidders) is 25%, with a 3% discount for payments by cash, check, wire, or Zelle. If bidding through a third-party platform, payment must be made through that platform. The online buyer’s premium for all third-party sites (Invaluable and Live Auctioneers) is 32%, third party platform users are not eligible for any discounts.
