Polychrome Wood Figure of the Crowned Virgin (Spanish Late 17th Century)
A carved and polychrome wooden figure of the Virgin, depicted standing with a flowing red mantle over a dark tunic, her hands held slightly forward as if once supporting an attribute. The head is gently inclined to the left, with inset glass eyes and delicately modeled facial features. She wears an openwork carved crown and retains substantial original polychrome and gilt decoration
