Depicting officer standing beside his horse, wearing a gilt crested helmet with plume, dark blue coat with red facings, sash, and sword. The horse’s saddle cloth is embroidered with the numeral “9”, similar to artists such as Theodore Gericault (French 1791-1824) Emile Jean Horace Vernet (French 1789-1863)
