Signed Georges Jacob French Directoire Brass-Mounted Cuban Mahogany “Tric-Trac” Games Table
in rectangular form finely crafted in Cuban mahogany with satinwood string and geometric inlay throughout, having two candleholders on either side of the table, the reversible top with inlaid border enclosing a tooled leather writing surface to one side and a felt-lined gaming surface to the reverse, opening to reveal an interior fitted with an ebony and inlaid bone tric-trac (backgammon) board, four small gaming drawers fitted into the frame, all raised on fluted tapering legs with brass collars, sabots, and casters, signed G. Jacob on the frame, circa 1790

Presents well, very good condition, leather with minor saffs, slight wear to table under top one corner of top board with professional repair to veneer, with minor veneer striations
