Arthur de Ferraris 1856-1928 3/4 length portrait of Hugh Henry Hanna 1848-1920 oil on canvas painted from life by Arthur de Ferraris in 1901 signed and dated bottom left: Ferraris 1901 46 x 36 Important and unique American frame, circa 1890’s. Hugh Henry Hanna was a member of the New York Chamber of Commerce in 1900, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Indianapolis Monetary Convention and Chairman of the Commission on International Exchange where he played a large role in the implementation of the Gold Standard in International Trade.
