19th Century, a striped parquetry box with alternating light and dark wood veneers, fitted with brass handle and escutcheon opening two three brass tea cannisters; together with a larger rectangular writing or storage box veneered in contrasting burlwood and rosewood bands, with fine string inlay and a mother-of-pearl escutcheon and inlaid crest to the lid.

Condition: Both with minor veneer losses, shrinkage, and small surface cracks; brass mounts with expected tarnish; overall good decorative appearance
