An evocative interior genre scene depicting two women and infant gathered beside a hearth within a modest Parisian interior. The composition is suffused with warm, subdued light, contrasting cool blue shadows with ochre and amber tones to create an intimate domestic atmosphere. The brushwork is subdued and atmospheric, with softly layered strokes and thinly worked passages that emphasize tonal transitions over surface texture.
