A Chinese carved hardwood armchair, the pierced back splat elaborately carved with a central bird among flowering branches, framed by scrolling foliage, the arms similarly carved with floral designs. Solid seat over an apron with foliate carving, raised on square legs joined by stretchers.
Height 38 inches, seat height 20 inches
Provenance: Property from a Essex, Connecticut estate
Condition: Surface wear, small scratches, minor age cracks consistent with use.
