A Chinese gray pottery hu vase with relief decoration of hunting scenes depicting mounted archers and animals, lions, monkeys, pair of taotie mask and fixed-ring handles; mottled surface with earthen encrustations. Later drilled and mounted as a table lamp with wood base

Condition: Drilled for lamp conversion; surface wear, encrustations, repaired rim, loss, and accretions consistent with age and burial.
