original pen and ink editorial cartoons on illustration board, addressing political and governmental themes of the late 1960s and 1970s, including federal spending and national debt, mandates and campaign rhetoric, party politics, judicial reform, congressional sentiment, urban development, and civic administration. Executed in bold graphic style with strong contour line and tonal shading, characteristic of the artist’s published newspaper work. Many sheets retain pencil editorial notations and publication dates along the margins. Each signed in ink Dick Hodgins.

All lots are sold “AS IS.” Condition reports are available by request and answered in the order received starting the week of the sale. Our in-house buyer’s premium (for absentee and phone bidders) is 25%, with a 3% discount for payments by cash, check, wire, or Zelle. If bidding through a third-party platform, payment must be made through that platform. The online buyer’s premium for all third-party sites (Invaluable and Live Auctioneers) is 32%, third party platform users are not eligible for any discounts.
