A heavy sterling silver ciborium with gilt interior and a domed lid surmounted by a finely detailed cruciform finial, the cup is smooth and polished, rising above a paneled knopped stem mounted with applied Gothic tracery and cabochon ornaments, the lobed base is decorated with pierced Gothic-style openwork around the perimeter, with additional applied roundel settings Engraving:
“In Memory of Joseph L. Moretti, also inscribed ‘Donated by wife Mary Moretti, May 12, 1946’”
