Ink on paper, original multi-panel Sunday comic strip for the King Features Syndicate series Hagar the Horrible. The strip features Hagar in a reflective woodland setting, humorously debating solitude versus companionship, concluding with a wide final panel populated by woodland animals and the punchline, “I’ve got lots of friends!” Executed in bold black ink with strong graphic contrast and expressive line work characteristic of Browne’s hand. Copyright 2014 King Features Syndicate printed within panel. Date October 12th. Signed in plate “Chris Browne”; light editorial notations visible in margins.
