Three Jocelyn Burton Sterling Silver Cylindrical Covered Containers each with seashell motif tops, and one having moonstone, cabochon gemstones, gold wash interior height 4 inches, diameter 2 inches 21.2 troy ounces. Provenance: The consignor’s late husband, Philip Refson, owned the Charles de Temple jewelry shop on Jermyn St, London in the late 1970’s through early 90’s. Charles de Temple and Jocelyn Burton were friends, and he carried many of Jocelyn’s silver pieces in his store. Mr. Refson became a private client and personal friend of Jocelyn’s during this time and often commissioned pieces directly from Jocelyn. The chargers and the bull place card holders Philip was a Taurus are examples of commissioned pieces.
