“Oil Derrick Landscape”
Depicting a tall oil-drilling tower rising before stylized mountain ranges beneath a golden, cloud-streaked sky, executed in a dense mosaic of small square tesserae in earth-tone, green, and mineral-blue hues, the foreground shows abstracted strata of land and associated oil-field structures, characteristic of mid-century industrial landscape art, mosaic mounted to wood panel, presented in a brass frame
