A two-part lift-top blanket chest in cherry, the upper section with three false drawers over two working drawers, the hinged top opening to a deep well interior. The lower section fitted with a single long drawer, raised on cabriole legs ending in pad feet with shaped apron. Retains some original brasses, with others later.
height 56 1/2 inches, case width 35 3/4 inches, top 18 1/2″ x 37 3/4″
Provenance: Property from The Estate of Sally G. Chubb of Bernardsville, New Jersey
Condition: Age cracks, wear consistent with use; scattered replaced brasses.
